IGP listens to grievances of police personnel, orders immediate relief

LAHORE, Jun 15 (APP): Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Abdul Kareem on Monday met police personnel and their family members at the Central Police Office and issued immediate directions for the resolution of their problems.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the IGP heard various complaints and requests submitted by police employees and their relatives and directed the relevant officers to ensure prompt relief.
During the meeting, Office Superintendent Asif Ali requested cancellation of his transfer, upon which the IGP directed the Punjab Additional Inspector General to review the matter. On an application filed by Head Constable Muhammad Saifal seeking medical financial assistance, the IGP issued necessary directions to the AIG Welfare for appropriate action.
Similarly, on the request of the father of martyred TASI Naseer Ahmad for financial assistance, the AIG Welfare was directed to provide relief in accordance with the rules.
The IGP also ordered the regional police officer (RPO) Sheikhupura to review an application regarding the transfers of six police employees.
Abdul Kareem further issued directions on several other applications relating to discipline, administration, promotion and welfare matters, emphasising the need for timely resolution of issues faced by police personnel and their families.
