IGP issues relief orders on various cops, families requests

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Thursday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their concerns regarding promotions, seniority, welfare and administrative matters.

LAHORE, Mar 12 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Thursday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their concerns regarding promotions, seniority, welfare and administrative matters.
According to police spokesperson, on the application of retired Inspector Ahmad Yar for a scholarship for his son, the IGP Punjab issued instructions to the DIG Welfare and Finance. On the request of the widow of late Constable Imtiaz Hussain regarding cancellation of her son’s transfer, DIG SPU was directed to provide relief. Similarly, on the application of retired DSP Asif Hanif, DPO Sialkot was instructed to take necessary action, while on the transfer request of Sub-Inspector Touqeer Ahmad, RPO Sargodha was directed to place the matter under consideration.
IGP Abdul Kareem said that the welfare of the police force is his top priority and that timely resolution of issues faced by employees will be ensured.
