Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Monday paid rich tribute to five police martyrs on the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Police Training School Manawan, stating that their sacrifices would always be remembered with honour.

LAHORE, Mar 30 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Abdul Kareem on Monday paid rich tribute to five police martyrs on the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attack on the Police Training School Manawan, stating that their sacrifices would always be remembered with honour.
According to spokesperson, the IGP said that the brave personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty are the pride of the nation, adding that the Punjab Police salute the martyrs and their families.
The IGP said that the sacrifices of police martyrs serve as a guiding light for the force and reaffirmed that welfare and support of their families would continue.
According to spokesperson, on this day in 2009, five personnel of Punjab Police embraced martyrdom in the terrorist attack on the Manawan Police Training School. The martyrs included Constables Rohail Fayaz, Rafiqur Rehman, Aamir Munir, Shahid Raza and Ghulam Mohiud Din, who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
