HED decides to set up counseling centers in govt colleges

The Higher Education Department Punjab has taken a decision to set up counseling centers in government colleges for guidance and welfare of students. 

LAHORE, May 04 (APP): The Higher Education Department Punjab has taken a decision to set up counseling centers in government colleges for guidance and welfare of students.
The aim of this initiative is to build character of students, improve their mental health and
prepare them for a better future.
According to officials, 13 different types of facilities will be provided to students in these counseling
centers, which will include psychological support and socio-economic guidance. Apart from this, students will also be made aware about health, hygiene and educational matters so that their overall development is possible.
The centers will also provide guidance on career counseling, employment opportunities, skill development and professional training, which will help students make better decisions in practical life.
