HEC announces major salary hike for university faculty

LAHORE, Oct 05 (APP): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has announced a significant increase in the monthly salaries of university faculty members working under the Tenure Track System.
Under the new policy, salaries for Tenure Track System faculty will be raised, this change takes effect on July 1, and the revised amounts will be included in the July salary disbursement.
According to the new policy, the minimum monthly salary for Professors has been set at Rs. 402,000, with a maximum of Rs. 712,000. Monthly salaries for Associate Professors will range from Rs. 370,000 to Rs. 625,000.
Similarly, the salary for Assistant Professors has been raised, with the scale set between Rs. 288,000 and Rs. 553,000. According to the HEC, the respective universities will pay the new salaries from their own resources.
