RAWALPINDI, Jun 03 (APP):The Horticulture Agency, Rawalpindi (HAR), has intensified maintenance, plantation, and beautification activities at Al-Furqan Park and the adjoining nursery as part of efforts to promote a greener and healthier urban environment.
Acting on the directions of Managing Director Ahmad Hassan Ranjha, agency staff were carrying out regular maintenance of plant irrigation, soil cultivation, pruning and fertilisation to ensure the healthy growth of seasonal flowers, ornamental plants and shade trees.

According to the HAR spokesperson, special attention was also being given to protecting plants from seasonal effects and diseases to preserve the park’s greenery and aesthetic appeal.
He said lawn mowing, plant arrangement, and maintenance of green belts were continuing, while cleanliness around walking tracks and other public facilities was improving.
Meanwhile, horticultural activities were also underway at the nursery adjoining the park, where flowering, ornamental and shade plants were being cultivated and maintained.
The spokesperson said special focus was being placed on raising high-quality saplings for future tree plantation campaigns, while proper irrigation and fertilisation measures were being ensured to maintain plant health.
He appealed to citizens to help protect parks and green spaces by avoiding damage to plants and trees and cooperating with authorities in maintaining cleanliness across the city.
