Hamza Shehbaz presides over high-level meeting to review PM’s special fuel scheme

LAHORE, Sep 23 (APP): Former Chief Minister of Punjab and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Hamza Shehbaz Sharif chaired a high-level meeting on Wednesday to review the implementation and public outreach of the Prime Minister’s special fuel relief scheme.

The meeting was attended by PML-N Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) and party ticket holders from across the country to discuss the scheme’s implementation framework and strategies to maximize relief for low-income households.

During the meeting, participants were given a detailed briefing on the fully digital system driving the Special Fuel Relief Scheme. The presentation highlighted petrol pump registration processes, real-time digital monitoring, and solutions to address operational challenges on the ground.

Addressing the meeting, Hamza Shehbaz told the public representatives to take an active role in guiding deserving citizens within their respective constituencies and facilitating their registration process.

“The effective implementation of this scheme and ensuring targeted relief reaches eligible citizens is our top priority,” said Hamza Shehbaz.

He called for an optimum sensitization of the public about the scheme and urged the public representatives to bridge the gap between government bodies, petrol pump management, and local communities.

Lawmakers and party leaders present at the meeting shared field observations, highlighted constituency-level issues, and offered recommendations to streamline the delivery of the fuel subsidy.
