FAISALABAD, Jul 09 (APP): The ‘Degree Show 2026’ was organised by the students and administration of the Department of Art & Design, Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF), here on Thursday.
Renowned industrialists Sohail Khattak with Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) inaugurated the show.  CEO Lyallpur Galleria Faisalabad and CEO of KEY & EMMs Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Khurram Tariq, former President FCCI, along with Mrs. Farzana Musadiq from Interloop Ltd. joined the inauguration.
The guests were highly appreciative of the creativity, originality, and professional quality of the final-year projects presented by 36-Graphic Design students.
The exhibition featured innovative branding solutions, business concepts, digital campaigns, visual communication projects, and smartphone game designs addressing contemporary social, economic, and environmental issues.
Sohail Khattak appreciated the students’ entrepreneurial mindset and market-oriented ideas, noting that such exhibitions connect young creative talent with industry and professional opportunities.
Dr. Khurram Tariq particularly praised the sensitivity of the young artists towards contemporary issues and the originality of their projects. Impressed by their potential, he announced support for selected students to showcase their work at an upcoming expo.
Mrs. Farzana Musadiq praised the students’ talent and innovative ideas, stating that such platforms empower young women to showcase their abilities, develop entrepreneurial skills, and prepare for the professional world.
Later, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen commended the teamwork of the Department of Art & Design under Dr. Toba Najam and the supervision of Zain Manzoor.
She thanked the distinguished industry guests for gracing the occasion, encouraging the students, and appreciating their creative work.
She emphasized that strong academia-industry linkages can transform creative talent into professional and entrepreneurial opportunities.
