Governor KP calls on Senate Chairman Gilani, discusses political situation

MULTAN, Apr 17 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi called on Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani here Friday and discussed ongoing political and economic situation in the country.

Nadeem Afzal Chan was also present during the meeting.

During the meeting, the leaders held a detailed discussion on the overall political landscape, economic challenges and matters related to national stability. Both agreed that political harmony and continuity of the democratic process are essential in the current circumstances, according to the statement.

Faisal Karim Kundi said all political forces must play a collective role to tackle the challenges facing the country and prioritise resolving public issues.

Gilani said Parliament is the guarantor of democratic stability in the country and all institutions must perform their roles within constitutional limits in the national interest. He added that consultation and dialogue remain the only way forward to resolve issues.

The meeting also emphasised importance of improving law and order, public welfare and accelerating the development process, while stressing the need for joint efforts to ensure political stability.
