GCWUS delegation meets Chairman SIAL
SIALKOT, Aug 06 (APP):A delegation from Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS), led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shazia Bashir, met the Chairman of Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL), Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Malik, to explore avenues for strategic collaboration.
The meeting focused on promoting academic excellence, sports development, and student empowerment, according to a university press release issued on Thursday.
During the meeting, both sides discussed potential areas of cooperation. The SIAL chairman assured the university of his full support for future collaboration, including scholarships for deserving students, the development of sports facilities, and sponsorship opportunities for talented student-athletes of GCWUS.
Chief Executive Officer of Sialkot International Airport Limited, Air Vice Marshal (R) Tanveer Ashraf Bhatti, also attended the meeting and appreciated the university’s vision of creating greater opportunities for women through education and sports.
The GCWUS delegation comprised Registrar Prof. Dr. Adnan Adil, Treasurer Prof. Dr. Ashfaq, Director ORIC Dr. Abd ur Rehman, Director of the Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies Dr. Syeda Sadia, Director External Linkages Dr. Umar Farrukh, Manager ORIC Mr. Sohaib Saleem, and Deputy Director Sports Ms. Atiya Altaf.
The meeting underscored GCWUS’s commitment, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shazia Bashir, to forging meaningful partnerships with leading national institutions for the holistic development of its students.
