GCUF ranked among top 6.2% universities worldwide, secures 7th position in Pakistan

Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) has achieved another significant milestone on the global academic stage by securing a place among the top 6.2 percent universities worldwide in the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) 2026. The university has also been ranked seventh among higher education institutions in Pakistan.

The university has also been ranked seventh among higher education institutions in Pakistan.
University spokesman said here on Friday that the achievement reflects GCUF’s continued commitment to academic excellence, research productivity, and institutional development. Securing the seventh position nationally further reinforces the university’s standing among Pakistan’s leading and rapidly progressing institutions of higher learning.
Over the past few years, GCUF has strengthened its position as a vibrant center of teaching, research, and innovation. The university has focused on promoting quality education, advanced scientific research, student development, and collaborative partnerships with national and international academic institutions, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam described the recognition as a collective achievement of the entire university community.
“This distinction is the result of the hard work and dedication of our faculty members, students, staff, alumni, and all stakeholders. Our recognition in global rankings reflects our unwavering commitment to academic excellence, research quality, and service to society”, he added.
