FAISALABAD, Aug 05 (APP): Government College Women University, Faisalabad commemorated ‘Kashmir Exploitation Day’ with a “Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir Walk”, an essay and a speech competition to reaffirm support for the people of Occupied Kashmir in their struggle for the right to self-determination here on Wednesday.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen (T.I.) led the walk, participated by heads of departments, faculty, other staff and a large number of students.
In her address, she emphasized that the people of occupied Kashmir must be granted their fundamental right to self-determination in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.
She reiterated the institution’s unwavering moral, political, and diplomatic support for the struggle of Kashmiri people.
Carrying banners and placards displaying slogans in favor of the Kashmiri freedom struggle, the participants demanded an end to human rights violations in the occupied valley and reiterated the call for justice.
The walk concluded with collective prayers for the liberation of Kashmir and a tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs.
On the occasion, the Directorate of Student Affairs also organized an essay-writing and speech competition.
Students enthusiastically participated, paying tribute to the resilience and freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people.
