BAHAWALPUR, Jun 05 (APP): At least four people lost their lives as they suffered electric shocks while fixing a turbine in Chak No. 88/DB Nawab Wali, Yazman tehsil of the district.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, six people were affected by an electric shock while operating a motor inside a turbine room adjacent to a sewage disposal facility near Yazman. “Upon receiving the emergency call, Rescue 1122 Bahawalpur teams immediately reached the scene and launched a rescue operation,” they said, adding that three of the victims were transported by local residents, while one victim was shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Yazman by a Rescue ambulance.
Doctors at the hospital confirmed the deaths of four individuals.
Rescue 1122 personnel successfully rescued two other victims. One of them was provided the first aid at the scene, while the second was given emergency medical treatment and shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Yazman for further care.
The deceased were identified as Amir, Qamar and Khalid. The bodies were handed over to the heirs after completion of legal procedure.
