RAWALPINDI, Sep 27 (APP): City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera has said that foolproof security and comprehensive traffic arrangements will be ensured for the international cricket matches scheduled at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium during Sri Lanka’s tour of Pakistan.
He expressed these views during a visit to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium here on Sunday while reviewing security and traffic arrangements for the upcoming cricket series.
Senior police officers, including SSP Operations, Chief Traffic Officer, SP Rawal, SP Security and SP Headquarters, were also present.
The concerned officers briefed the CPO in detail on the security plan and traffic arrangements being made for the matches.
CPO Sukhera directed the officers to further strengthen security measures and take all necessary steps to ensure smooth traffic flow during the matches.
He stressed that commuters should be facilitated and that the public should not face unnecessary inconvenience.
The CPO said the holding of international cricket matches in Pakistan was a significant development.
He added that Rawalpindi Police was working round the clock to ensure the safety of citizens and provide them with timely and effective services.
