GUJRAT, Aug 08 (APP):On the directions of Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Deputy Director Sadia Rafat, the PFA continued its food safety drive across the district, conducting 45 inspections of food businesses to ensure compliance with food safety laws.
According to official sources, 17 food businesses were issued improvement notices, while six were fined a total of Rs115,000 for violating food safety regulations.
The PFA also collected three food samples for laboratory analysis and discarded 13 kg of banned and expired foo items during the inspections.
The authority said such operations would continue without discrimination to ensure the provision of safe and quality food to the public.
