Food safety drive continues in Gujrat

GUJRAT, Jun 08 (APP): On the directives of Deputy Director Punjab Food Authority Gujrat Sadia Rafat, food safety teams continued inspections and enforcement actions across the district to monitor food quality and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
According to the official source, during the operation, 45 food businesses were inspected. As many as 24 food points were issued improvement notices for violations of hygiene practices and food safety regulations, while seven food outlets were fined a total of Rs72,000.
Officials also seized and destroyed 0.8 kilograms of prohibited food items during the crackdown to prevent the sale of substandard and banned products.
