FMH hosts MedVerse’26 int’l undergraduate research conference

LAHORE, Jun 09 (APP): Fatima Memorial Hospital College of Medicine & Dentistry (FMHCMD) successfully organized MedVerse’26, the second International Undergraduate Research Conference, here on Tuesday.
The conference brought together young researchers, healthcare professionals and academics from Pakistan and abroad to promote research, innovation and scientific collaboration.
The five-day conference featured four scientific sessions led by renowned experts Dr. Talat Waseem, Dr. Asim Riaz, Dr. Mudassir Ali and Dr. Saira Afzal, who shared their insights on contemporary healthcare challenges, emerging trends in medical research and opportunities for advancing scientific inquiry.
The conference received more than 140 abstract submissions from 70 medical colleges across Pakistan and three international institutions. More than 500 participants attended the event, while over 50 student ambassadors from across the country contributed to its outreach and engagement activities.
The scientific programme included more than 80 oral and poster presentations showcasing undergraduate research in various medical and healthcare disciplines. In addition, 10 virtual poster presentations were delivered by participants from the United Kingdom, Italy and Bulgaria, further strengthening international academic collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Five specialized workshops, attended by more than 300 participants, provided hands-on training and professional development opportunities in key areas of medical research and healthcare practice.
