NOWSHERA VIRKAN, Apr 29 (APP):Five people here on Wednesday were injured in a shooting incident following a dispute between the two groups, the police said.
The incident took place in the nearby Village, Jagowala, where tensions between the Siddique Patwari group and the Shahid Arain group had reportedly been ongoing.
According to police, an exchange of harsh words escalated into indiscriminate gunfire when the two sides confronted each other.
The injured had been identified as Ali Raza, Shabbir, Liaqat, Muhammad Siddique and Sabir Masih, they added.
The police registered a case and launched investigation.
The injured were initially taken to a local hospital, while two of them, said to be in critical condition, were later transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital in Gujranwala.
