Five farmers allotted government land under ‘Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar’ program

GUJRAT, Jul 29 (APP):Five landless farmers were awarded allotment letters for government agricultural land under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar programme at a ceremony held here on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Waqas Safdar Sikandari, and Members of the Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmad Ranian and Syed Madad Ali Shah attended the ceremony. The allotment letters were distributed among the beneficiaries by the two MPAs.
According to official sources, the beneficiaries were selected through a merit-based process followed by verification and security clearance. Each beneficiary was allotted three to five acres of government agricultural land in Jalalpur Jattan, Kharian and Sarai Alamgir tehsils on a 10-year lease at an annual rent of Rs100 per acre.
Under the programme, each beneficiary will also receive financial assistance of Rs50,000 per acre to help prepare the land for cultivation.
The Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar programme aims to provide landless farmers with access to cultivable land and financial support, enabling them to improve their livelihoods through agriculture.
