Firefighting and emergency response training for staff of government health facilities across Gujrat district was underway in collaboration with Rescue 1122,here on Friday.

GUJRAT, Aug 28 (APP):Firefighting and emergency response training for staff of government health facilities across Gujrat district was underway in collaboration with Rescue 1122,here on Friday.
The five-day training program,being held from Aug 27 to 31,2026 was being conducted on the directions of Deputy Commissioner(DC),Gujrat,Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi and under the supervision of Chief Executive Officer(CEO),District Health Authority Gujrat,Dr.Syed Muhammad Aitizaz Ahmed.
According to an official source,staff members of Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals,trauma centers,civil hospitals, maternity hospitals and Rural Health Centres were participating in the training.
Staff of Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics were also being trained in fire safety and emergency response,the source added.
Rescue 1122 personnel are providing practical training on handling fire emergencies,proper use of fire extinguishers,initial safety measures,emergency management and safe evacuation of patients and staff.
The training program aims to enhance fire safety and emergency preparedness at government health facilities and improve the response capabilities of staff to effectively deal with emergencies and minimize the risk of loss of life and property.
