MUZAFFARGARH, Jul 20 (APP):A fire broke out on the roof of Rewari Sweets Bakery at Iqbal Chowk in Alipur on Monday after a short circuit ignited discarded material, cardboard, and wooden debris.
A Rescue 1122 team rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the emergency call and brought the blaze under control. Firefighters then carried out a 15-minute cooling operation to prevent the fire from reigniting.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, sparking from electric wires passing over the bakery’s roof caused the fire.
Rescue 1122 estimated that property worth approximately Rs2 million was saved due to the timely response, while the financial loss caused by the fire was estimated at around Rs10,000.
