FIR registered over “Suthra Punjab” worker assault

MUZAFFARGARH, Jun 13 (APP): Police registered a case against two accused father and son, Abid Hussain and Mubashar, at Khangarh police station, for allegedly assaulting Suthra Punjab sanitation worker Faheem.
The FIR states the worker was attacked with an iron wire and rubber pipe while performing cleaning duties.
Local residents intervened in time and prevented further harm to the victim.
Despite being alerted via the 15 helpline, the accused managed to flee the scene. Police have intensified efforts to apprehend them.
The case was registered on the directives of Deputy Commissioner Usman Tahir Juppa.
Suthra Punjab Managing Director Yousaf Chhina condemned the assault, saying violence against sanitation workers performing public service was completely unacceptable. He vowed that the protection of Suthra Punjab workers would be ensured without compromise.
