FAISALABAD, May 17 (APP): Faisalabad Institute of Cardiology (FIC) in collaboration with Heart Saver Foundation (HSF) organized a one-day awareness session on “hypertension control and prevention of heart diseases at young age” aiming to educate students about adopting a healthy lifestyle and preventive healthcare measures.
Medical Social Officer (HSF) Asia Faqir Hussain, General Secretary Kashif Farooq, Manager Asima Muzammal and other speakers sensitized the students about the growing risks of hypertension and cardiovascular diseases among younger age groups.
Addressing the participants, the speakers stressed the importance of balanced diet, regular physical activity and timely medical checkups to prevent heart-related complications.
They said that unhealthy eating habits, stress and lack of exercise were contributing factors behind the increasing incidence of cardiovascular diseases and hypertension among youth.
They urged students to adopt precautionary measures and healthy routines in daily life to protect themselves from chronic diseases and maintain better cardiac health.
They also highlighted the need for awareness campaigns to promote preventive healthcare practices in educational institutions and communities.
At the conclusion of awareness session, certificates were also distributed among the participating students in recognition of their participation in the awareness program.
