Federal Minister visits free medical camp in Chiniot, highlights investment reforms

CHINIOT, Jun 27 (APP): Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh visited a free medical camp to review the medical facilities provided to patients met doctors and citizens, the camp held in Chak No. 134 Lonewala, a village on the outskirts of Chiniot.
Qaiser Ahmed said that the government is giving equal importance to the promotion of investment and public welfare.
He said the Board of Investment is making effective reforms to create an investor-friendly environment in the country, and the complicated system of unnecessary permits and licensing faced by investors is being simplified so that foreign investors can invest in Pakistan without any hindrance.
He said the government has provided incentives such as exemption from duty and tax on machinery and income tax exemption for nine years to investors in Special Economic Zones.
The Faisalabad Industrial Zone near Chiniot will not only provide extensive employment opportunities to locals but will also significantly increase domestic and foreign investment.
He added that several big companies are interested in investing in Pakistan and its positive results will be revealed in the coming days.Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said Pakistan’s economic policies under the leadership of the Prime Minister are receiving global recognition.
Overseas Pakistanis are also enthusiastic about investing in the country due to the government’s investor-friendly policies, while important steps like reducing duty on raw materials and abolishing super tax for exporters have been taken to increase exports.
Talking about health facilities in his constituency, the Federal Minister said providing quality medical facilities to the people of rural areas at 0their doorsteps is his top priority.
Free medical camps are being organized in different villages every three to four weeks, where expert doctors provide free examination, diagnosis and medicines.
He further said the government is continuously taking steps for the improvement of education and health sectors, and the improvement of basic infrastructure including roads in rural areas is also making it easier for people to access medical facilities.
