The nomination phase for the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) elections for 2026-28 has concluded, with 35 candidates filing nomination papers for 30 vacant seats, setting the stage for next phase of FCCI electoral process.
FCCI election nominations close with 35 candidates for 30 seats

FAISALABAD, Sep 01 (APP):The nomination phase for the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) elections for 2026-28 has concluded, with 35 candidates filing nomination papers for 30 vacant seats, setting the stage for next phase of FCCI electoral process.
According to the election commission, total 35 nomination papers were submitted for the seats in Corporate and Associate Classes including reserved seats for women.
For Corporate Class, 18 candidates have filed nomination papers for 14 general seats. One candidate has also submitted nomination papers for one reserved seat for women in the category.
Similarly, 17 candidates have entered the contest for 14 general seats of Associate Class while one candidate has filed nomination papers for the single reserved seat for women in the category.
The election commission members — Muzammil Sultan, Atif Munir and Chaudhry Muhammad Nawaz — said that the scrutiny of nomination papers was under way in accordance with the announced election schedule.
They said that the election process was proceeding according to the prescribed schedule and all necessary arrangements were being made to ensure transparency and smooth conduct of the chamber elections.
The completion of nomination process has formally moved the FCCI election proceedings into the scrutiny stage, after which the final field of candidates will emerge in accordance with the applicable election rules.
