Falak Javed’s judicial remand extended by 14 days in Zaman Park attack case

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday extended the judicial remand of PTI social media activist Falak Javed by 14 days in a case relating to the alleged attack on Islamabad Police officials at Zaman Park.

LAHORE, Jul 01 (APP): An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday extended the judicial remand of PTI social media activist Falak Javed by 14 days in a case relating to the alleged attack on Islamabad Police officials at Zaman Park.
ATC Judge Manzer Ali Gill heard the case. Falak Javed was produced before the court after the expiry of her previous judicial remand.
During the proceedings, the investigating officer requested an extension of the accused’s judicial remand, informing the court that the supplementary challan was in the final stages of preparation and would be submitted shortly.
Accepting the request, the court extended Falak Javed’s judicial remand by another 14 days and ordered that she be sent back to jail.
According to the prosecution, a petrol bomb was allegedly recovered from the accused. Police claim that Falak Javed, along with other PTI workers, participated in an attack on Islamabad Police officials at Zaman Park, injuring several officers and personnel.
The Islamabad Police had arrived at Zaman Park to execute summons issued to the PTI founder when party workers allegedly resisted the operation and hurled petrol bombs at the police.
The case has been registered at Race Course Police Station under FIR No. 410/23.
