In a major crackdown on food adulteration, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) unearthed a large-scale fake milk production unit in Kot Addu, confiscated and destroyed 14750 litres of adulterated milk.
Fake milk factory busted in Kot Addu; 14,000 litres adulterated milk discarded

MUZAFFARGARH, Apr 14 (APP):In a major crackdown on food adulteration, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA) unearthed a large-scale fake milk production unit in Kot Addu, confiscated and destroyed 14750 litres
of adulterated milk.
According to PFA sources, the authority’s food safety team raided a factory located in Sultan
colony, where milk was being manufactured using harmful chemicals.
During the operation, officials seized and discarded approximately 14,750 litres of
adulterated milk.
The team also recovered 1,700 kilograms of powder and 300 kilograms of vegetable fat, along with heavy machinery used in the illegal production process. All equipment was taken into custody. A case was registered against the unit owner.
The spokesperson emphasized that the PFA raids would continue to protect the masses from
unhealthy food items.
