GUJRAT, Apr 28 (APP): The Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Gujrat carried out a major operation in Lala Musa and seized 250 kilogram banned polythene bags from a warehouse.
According to official sources, the action was taken under the supervision of District Officer Environment Usama Majid.
Officials said the confiscated plastic bags included material with a thickness of less than 75 microns, which was prohibited under environmental laws.
They added that legal action was taken in accordance with relevant regulations during the operation at Chaudhry Goods Station.
Authorities further stated that enforcement against the manufacturing, sale and transportation of banned polythene bags would continue without interruption to reduce environmental pollution and ensure compliance with environmental protection laws.
