EPA Rawalpindi seizes 383 kg banned plastic bags

RAWALPINDI, Oct 05 (APP): The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Rawalpindi inspected 32 different locations and seized 383 kilograms of banned single-use plastic bags during a crackdown against their use.
According to data released by the Environment Protection Department, the EPA teams inspected a total of 32 locations on October 1 and obtained 10 pledges from citizens and business owners to avoid the use of single-use plastic bags.
The EPA Rawalpindi urged citizens and traders to refrain from using single-use plastic bags and adopt environment-friendly alternatives to help keep the environment clean and pollution-free.
