Drug authority seals several medical stores over illegal sale of narcotics

The Drug Authority Shahpur sealed several medical stores in Jhawarian and adjoining areas for allegedly selling Gabica capsules without valid prescriptions and stocking narcotic medicines in violation of the law.

SARGODHA, Jul 12 (APP): The Drug Authority Shahpur sealed several medical stores in Jhawarian and adjoining areas for allegedly selling Gabica capsules without valid prescriptions and stocking narcotic medicines in violation of the law.
According to a spokesperson, Deputy Drugs Controller Dr. Faheem Zia led the operation, during which authorities issued challans to Shahid Medical Store, Ahmed Medical Store and Ahsan Medical Store. Action was also taken against Kamal & Jamal Medical Store, Wadhi Shah Medical Store in Chakrala and Siddiquia Dawakhana for allegedly stocking narcotic medicines and selling drugs without qualified personnel on duty.
The outlets were ordered to stop selling medicines, while separate cases were referred to the District Quality Control Board, Sargodha, for legal action.
Dr. Zia urged the public to seek treatment only from qualified doctors and report the illegal sale of narcotic or prescription medicines, warning that strict action against violators would continue.
