A domestic worker allegedly involved in stealing gold jewellery from a house was arrested, with police recovering 16 tolas of gold ornaments and a diamond ring worth Rs7.5 million from his possession here on Saturday.

GUJRAT, Sep 12 (APP):A domestic worker allegedly involved in stealing gold jewellery from a house was arrested, with police recovering 16 tolas of gold ornaments and a diamond ring worth Rs7.5 million from his possession here on Saturday.
According to police sources, Hasnain Asghar, a resident of Timbal Chowk, lodged a complaint stating that his domestic worker had stolen gold jewellery from his house and fled.
Police registered a case and launched an investigation.
On the directions of District Police Officer (DPO) Faisal Shahzad,City Circle Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Zafar Iqbal supervised the probe.
B-Division Station House Officer (SHO) Sub-Inspector Shehroz Ahmed and his team used modern technology to trace and arrest the suspect,identified as Adnan,a resident of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Further investigation was underway.
