RAWALPINDI, Jun 09 (APP):Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic, Punjab, Muhammad Waqas Nazir visited Murree and conducted a detailed inspection of traffic flow, parking arrangements, tourist points, and major roads in the hill station.
During the visit, Chief Traffic Officer Murree Munir Ahmed Hashmi welcomed the DIG Traffic Punjab and briefed him in detail regarding traffic management strategies, special arrangements for the tourist season, designated parking sites, traffic diversion plans, deployment of personnel, public facilitation measures, and road safety initiatives in the district.
The DIG Traffic Punjab inspected several key locations including Lower Topa, Mall Road, GPO Chowk, Jhika Gali, Kashmir Point, and various parking sites.
He reviewed the measures taken to maintain smooth traffic flow and ensure effective management of tourist influx.
Muhammad Waqas Nazir appreciated the efforts of the City Traffic Police Murree for facilitating tourists and local residents, while also issuing further instructions for improvement.
He directed officials to efficiently manage traffic pressure during the tourist season, enhance parking discipline, ensure strict enforcement of road safety regulations, and utilize all available resources to provide better travel facilities to the public.
He further instructed officers and personnel to maintain courteous behavior, professionalism, and prompt assistance for both citizens and tourists at all times.
