MURREE, Aug 27 (APP): Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to evaluate anti-dengue containment measures and review the performance of the health department.
The review meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Umar Owais Kayani, Additional Deputy Commissioner General Kamran Sagheer, Assistant Commissioner Captain (Retd) Arshad Iqbal, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Health, and key administrative officers. The meeting aimed to assess the progress of vector-control protocols executed across the district and formulate strategies to accelerate the ongoing anti-dengue campaign in alignment with the Chief Minister’s provincial vision.
Following the review, the district administration and health department officials were tasked with launching dedicated anti-dengue drives at the university level. Authorities were instructed to organize awareness seminars, distribute informational materials, and actively engage the student body to ensure higher education campuses and academic institutions remain completely protected from the vector-borne disease.
