DC inspects Kashmir Point, orders improved facilities for tourists in Murree

RAWALPINDI, Jun 28 (APP): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Murree, Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi, visited Kashmir Point to review cleanliness, basic facilities and arrangements for tourists.
During the inspection, the deputy commissioner reviewed cleanliness conditions, the state of cabins, ongoing repair and maintenance work, walkways, public facilities and parking areas. He also received briefings from relevant officials and interacted with tourists to gather feedback on available facilities.
The visit aimed to assess sanitation, traffic management, parking and overall administrative measures at the tourist spot, said a press release issued here on Sunday.
He directed authorities to ensure smooth traffic flow, improve parking arrangements and facilitate pedestrians in view of the increasing influx of visitors.
The deputy commissioner instructed officials to maintain high standards of cleanliness, ensure timely waste disposal and complete repair of cabins and other installations without delay. He also called for an effective system for continuous monitoring and maintenance of public facilities.
He emphasised coordination among all departments to ensure timely execution of responsibilities and prevent inconvenience to tourists.
The deputy commissioner said that Murree was a key tourist destination attracting a large number of visitors daily, adding that the district administration was committed to providing a clean, safe and organised environment.
He reiterated that public service and facilitation of tourists remained the top priority, adding that performance of all departments would be continuously monitored to maintain quality standards at tourist sites.
He further directed officers to ensure their presence in the field, promptly address issues and take effective measures to resolve public complaints so that visitors return with a positive impression of Murree.
