CTO pays tribute to martyrs on Police Martyrs’ Day

LAHORE, Aug 05 (APP):Lahore Chief Traffic Officer (CTO),Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi on Wednesday paid rich tribute to police martyrs, saying their unparalleled sacrifices for the protection of citizens’ lives,property and maintenance of law and order would always be remembered.

In his message on Police Martyrs’ Day,the CTO said Lahore Traffic Police saluted its brave personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty to ensure public safety and uphold the rule of law.

He said 1,743 personnel of Punjab Police,including 342 from Lahore Police and six officers and officials of Lahore Traffic Police had embraced martyrdom while performing their duties,adding that their sacrifices would continue to inspire future generations.

Abdul Rahim Shirazi said Police Martyrs’ Day served as a reminder to renew the pledge to continue the mission of the martyrs by ensuring the protection of citizens and effective enforcement of the law.

He said he was proud to lead a force whose officers and personnel had rendered extraordinary sacrifices for the peace,security and prosperity of the country,adding that the martyrs had sacrificed their present to secure a brighter future for the nation.

The CTO said Lahore Traffic Police would never hesitate to make any sacrifice for the safety and security of the people,describing police martyrs as enduring symbols of courage,selflessness and devotion to duty.

He said the sacrifices of police martyrs could never be forgotten,adding that hostile acts by anti-state elements could never weaken the resolve of the police force to safeguard the country and its citizens.

Paying special tribute to Shaheed Ahmed Mubeen,the CTO said his sacrifice had enhanced the honor and prestige of the police department and remained a lasting source of inspiration for the entire force.
