CSA probationary officers visit SPA to study digital sanitation system

RAWALPINDI, Aug 06 (APP): A delegation of probationary officers of the 54th Common Training Programme at the Civil Services Academy (CSA) visited the Suthra Punjab Agency (SPA) headquarters, Rawalpindi, on Thursday to study district-level governance and public service delivery.

The delegation was welcomed by the Managing Director, SPA, Rawalpindi, and Chief Executive Officer of the Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC), Rana Sajid Safdar.

Senior Manager Operations Dr Hamid Iqbal briefed the officers on the agency’s organisational structure, operational strategy, sanitation system, waste management, field operations, manpower, machinery, public facilitation measures and projects being implemented under the Punjab government’s Suthra Punjab Programme.

He said the agency was working to improve sanitation standards across Rawalpindi Division through modern waste management practices, efficient service delivery and environmentally sustainable initiatives.

The delegation later visited the agency’s central control room, where Senior Manager MIS Ahsan Azmat Malik gave a detailed presentation on the digital monitoring system, including biometric attendance, GPS-based vehicle tracking, real-time monitoring of field operations, the complaint management system and data-driven decision-making.

The probationary officers appreciated the agency’s use of technology, transparent monitoring mechanism and integrated sanitation management system, saying such study visits enhanced the understanding of future civil servants about effective governance, public service delivery and modern administrative practices.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation thanked the SPA administration and commended its professional performance, modern operational framework and digital management system.
