LAHORE, Oct 05 (APP):Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Punjab Chairperson Sarah Ahmed on Monday
urged newly recruited staff to perform their duties with empathy, integrity and a strong sense
of responsibility while ensuring the best interests of children.
Addressing a training session for newly recruited child supervisors, assistant helpline staff,
social protection assistants and other employees at the Child Protection and Welfare Bureau
here, she said the role of child protection staff was of vital importance in protecting, caring
for and rehabilitating children.
Sarah Ahmed said the training session had been organised to enhance the professional
capacity of newly recruited clerks, nurses, dispensers, teachers, child supervisors, assistant
helpline staff and other employees. She stressed that the new recruits should adopt a professional
attitude while dealing with children and discharge their responsibilities with compassion and
a sense of duty.
The participants were provided training and guidance on children’s rights, protection, care
and rehabilitation, as well as institutional responsibilities and effective child protection
mechanisms, a spokesperson said.
Director Administration Kashif Nawaz and Director Programme Faisal Abbas also guided
the newly recruited staff during the training session.
The chairperson and directors urged the new recruits to make full use of the training
and give top priority to the best interests of children while performing their official duties.
Sarah Ahmed expressed her best wishes for the newly recruited staff and advised them
to perform their responsibilities with honesty, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility.
