LAHORE, Aug 28 (APP): Child Protection & Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Punjab Chairperson and MPA Sarah Ahmad (T.I) has praised Pakistanis living in Australia for their professional achievements and contributions to Australian society, describing them as “brand ambassadors” of the country.
Speaking as chief guest at a ceremony organised by the AUSPAK Youth Association to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, Sarah Ahmad said the success of overseas Pakistanis enhanced the country’s image and reputation abroad, said a CPWB press release issued here on Friday.
The event was attended by Australian dignitaries, including the Australian High Commissioner and a member of parliament, along with Pakistani community members, business leaders, doctors’ representatives and media personnel.
She urged young Pakistanis to remain connected to their national identity, history, culture and values, and to pursue their goals with hard work, integrity and dedication.
Referring to her work in child protection, Sarah Ahmad said Pakistan must ensure safety, dignity, quality education and equal opportunities for every child. She said the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau was continuing efforts to protect, rehabilitate and educate vulnerable children and equip them with skills.
She also highlighted the growing friendship and ties between Pakistan and Australia, saying every generation had a responsibility to contribute to Pakistan’s peace, prosperity and development.
The ceremony concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony and Independence Day celebrations marked by national pride and enthusiasm.
