CPO Rawalpindi stresses timely intelligence sharing at security review meeting
RAWALPINDI, Jul 20 (APP): City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera chaired a meeting to review security arrangements and the intelligence-sharing mechanism, emphasizing the need for effective intelligence collection and timely dissemination of information.
The meeting was attended by officers from the Security Branch and field security staff.
During the meeting, the CPO reviewed the existing intelligence-sharing system and issued directives aimed at strengthening security operations.
Addressing the participants, CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said that intelligence collection and its prompt sharing are among the prime responsibilities of security personnel and must be ensured under all circumstances.
He warned that officers and officials found negligent or careless in intelligence collection and sharing would not be allowed to continue serving in the Security Branch.
The CPO also directed that any complaints of corruption or misconduct in the field would be dealt strictly. He further stated that departmental as well as legal action would be initiated against any officer or official found guilty of negligence in duty or involvement in corrupt practices.
The meeting concluded with instructions to enhance coordination, improve intelligence gathering, and ensure timely information sharing to maintain effective security across the city.
