RAWALPINDI, Jul 29 (APP):A local court has sentenced two drug dealers to a collective 18 years of imprisonment and imposed fines totaling Rs. 160,000.0 following effective prosecution and solid evidence submission by the police.
According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesperson, convict Asif Khan was handed a nine-year jail term along with an Rs 80,000 fine after Civil Lines Police arrested him in 2025 with 1.46 kilograms of hashish.
Similarly, convict Azhar Iqbal received a nine-year prison sentence and an Rs 80,000.0 fine after Saddar Baroni Police apprehended him in March 2026 with 1.37 kilograms of hashish. Police emphasized that strict measures remain underway to eradicate the drug menace from the region.
