Court extends interim bail of Rajab Butt in gambling app promotion case

LAHORE, Mar 26 (APP):A sessions court on Thursday extended the interim bail of YouTuber Rajab Butt and another accused till April 7 in a case related to the promotion of an online gambling app.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Mansoor Ahmad Qureshi conducted the hearing on pre-arrest bail petitions of accused, where proceedings could not continue due to the absence of the investigating officer.
During the hearing, the court was informed that Rajab Butt and Zaraq were not currently required by the investigation authorities. The judge directed that the investigating officer must appear in person at the next hearing to formally record this statement.
The court extended the interim bail of both accused and ordered the investigating officer to ensure attendance at the next hearing without fail before adjourning proceedings.
The court also approved an exemption request from person appearance for Nadeem Mubarak alias Naniwala, who was also an accused in the case.
The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency on allegations that the accused promoted and encouraged the use of a gambling application
