Court extends interim bail of MPA Saqib Chadhar until July 13

LAHORE, Jul 02 (APP): A sessions court on Thursday extended the interim bail of MPA Saqib Chadhar until July 13 in a case registered on the complaint of actress Momina Iqbal over alleged harassment.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Nusrat Sadiqi heard the case and directed the accused to join the investigation.

During the hearing, the investigating officer informed the court that the accused’s mobile phone, required for forensic examination, had been received only a day earlier and that the investigation was still incomplete.

Counsel for actress Momina Iqbal argued that Saqib Chadhar was deliberately delaying the investigation to obstruct progress in the case.

The court instructed the investigation team to complete the probe at the earliest and adjourned proceedings until July 13.

The court also directed the investigation officer to submit a progress report along with the relevant record at the next hearing.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency had registered the case against MPA Saqib Chadhar on the complaint of actress Momina Iqbal, alleging harassment.
