Court awards death sentence in murder case

SARGODHA, Jul 10 (APP): An Additional and Sessions Court on Friday awarded the death penalty to a man after convicting him of murdering another man over a domestic dispute.

According to the prosecution,the convict,Muhammad Afzal was also ordered to pay a fine of Rs.1 million.

Police said Muhammad Afzal had shot dead Muhammad Afzaal within the limits of the City Police Station following a domestic dispute.

A case was registered under Sections 302,109,148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code and the challan was submitted before the trial court after completion of the investigation.

After hearing arguments from both sides and examining the evidence on record,the Additional and Sessions Judge found the accused guilty and handed down the death sentence along with the fine.
