MULTAN, Aug 20 (APP): The Municipal Corporation Multan (MCM) has blacklisted a contractor firm for two years over repeated delays and failure to complete a major road rehabilitation project despite multiple notices and opportunities.
The contractor was awarded a development project worth Rs317.16 million covering the rehabilitation of the road from Sial Hotel to Hussainian Chowk, Ghaziabad Chowk and Shah Badr Road.
Spokesman said, the firm failed to complete the project within the agreed terms. Persistent delays and violation of contractual obligations forced authorities to forget the contractor’s performance security.
The MCM has taken the action strictly on merit, marking the first-ever blacklisting of a contractor by the corporation for failure to complete a development project.
