RAWALPINDI, Aug 16 (APP): On the directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera, Rawalpindi Police has put in place comprehensive security arrangements at churches across the city to ensure the safety of worshippers and maintain law and order.
Senior police officers are present in the field to personally supervise security arrangements at churches. Entry is being allowed only after thorough body searches to ensure the safety of worshippers and prevent any untoward incident.
CPO Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera directed police personnel to ensure the security of people arriving for worship and to treat them courteously while carrying out security checks.
He said all available resources were being utilised to protect the rights of minorities and maintain peace and security in the city.
The CPO further emphasised that effective security arrangements and close monitoring by senior officers would continue to ensure a safe environment for worshippers.
