Commissioner visits Neurosurgery ward at BVH, orders improving cleanliness standards

BAHAWALPUR, Jul 02 (APP): Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Irfan Ali Kathia, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza, visited the Neurosurgery Ward of Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH) to review healthcare services, cleanliness standards, and overall administrative arrangements.
Director Health Services Dr. Syed Tanveer Shah, Medical Superintendent Dr. Abdul Rehman, senior consultants, and other relevant officials were also present. The commissioner inspected various sections of the Neurosurgery Ward, reviewed the medical facilities available to patients, assessed cleanliness arrangements, and issued necessary directives to the hospital administration for further improvement.
Commissioner Kathia instructed the hospital management to enhance sanitation standards throughout the facility and develop a comprehensive and effective cleaning schedule for all wards. He stated that the schedule should be implemented strictly to ensure a clean, hygienic, and healthy environment for patients, their attendants, and healthcare workers. He observed that while the provision of quality healthcare services is the foremost responsibility of public hospitals, maintaining cleanliness, discipline, and an efficient administrative environment is equally essential. He urged the hospital administration to discharge its responsibilities with professionalism, integrity, and dedication to ensure better healthcare services for the public.
During the visit, the commissioner also received a detailed briefing from the relevant officials regarding patient care facilities, cleanliness arrangements, and the overall management of the Neurosurgery Ward. Concluding the inspection, Commissioner Irfan Ali Kathia directed the hospital administration to ensure the immediate implementation of all instructions issued during the visit to further improve patient care and hospital management.
