RAWALPINDI, Jun 18 (APP):Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), Engr. Aamer Khattak, on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review matters related to land management and the progress of Master Plan Rawalpindi.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioners of Rawalpindi and Attock, along with Assistant Commissioners of Taxila, Gujar Khan, Kahuta, Hassan Abdal, and Fateh Jang and senior officers of the RDA.
During the meeting, detailed presentations were delivered regarding various properties and land-related matters in District Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Murree, and different tehsils of the region.
The participants briefed the chair on the status of various properties, development prospects, and administrative issues concerning their respective jurisdictions.
The Commissioner Rawalpindi Engr. Aamer Khattak directed all concerned departments and district administrations to work beyond administrative boundaries and adopt a coordinated approach to ensure effective planning and development across the region.
The Chief Planner RDA presented a comprehensive briefing on Master Plan Rawalpindi, highlighting the progress achieved so far and the remaining milestones. After reviewing the presentation, the Commissioner directed the concerned officers to expedite the work on the Master Plan and ensure its timely completion.
The Commissioner Rawalpindi emphasized that the completion of Master Plan Rawalpindi would provide a strong foundation for planned urban growth, improved infrastructure, and sustainable development throughout the region.
During the meeting, he stressed the importance of coordinated planning and efficient land management to address the growing urbanization challenges in the region.
The Commissioner Rawalpindi underscored the need to safeguard public land, prevent encroachments, and streamline land use planning in accordance with the objectives of the Master Plan. He noted that a comprehensive and integrated planning framework is essential for promote sustainable development, protecting the environment, and improving the quality of life for residents across the region.
