Commissioner Rawalpindi confirms all arrangements complete for MDCAT exam

RAWALPINDI, Sep 17 (APP):Commissioner Rawalpindi Salman Ghani said Thursday all arrangements for the MDCAT examination have been completed. A shuttle service will be provided from 6th Road to the examination centers to facilitate the students.

He expressed these views while visiting the designated MDCAT examination centers.

According to details, Commissioner visited the centers established for the MDCAT exam along with DC Rawalpindi, Captain (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir.

A total of 6,240 candidates will appear for the MDCAT examination scheduled for September 20.

The Commissioner Rawalpindi visited Arid Agriculture University, Government Graduate College Satellite Town, and Siddique Public School Satellite Town, where he thoroughly reviewed the arrangements. He directed the administration to install Panaflex banners to guide students and parents. Speaking on the occasion, the commissioner reiterated that a shuttle service would be provided from Sixth Road to the examination centers for the students’ convenience. Section 144 will remain in force both inside and outside the examination centers.

Effective and comprehensive security arrangements have been finalized for the examination centers and surrounding areas; preparations for the MDCAT exam are complete. Instructions were issued to the Director of Colleges and the CEO

Education, Rawalpindi, to ensure the timely attendance of teachers assigned to duty.

Surveillance will be conducted using drones and cameras, and identity verification will be ensured through identity cards, admission letters, and biometric systems. Arrangements for seating, drinking water, and parking have been made for parents. Medical staff will remain on alert at BBH, Holy Family, DHQ, and RIUT hospitals.

The Commissioner Rawalpindi directed relevant officials to ensure the provision of electricity, medical aid, and other basic amenities at the MDCAT centers.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (Retd) Nadeem Nasir stated that on the day of the MDCAT exam, the police, traffic police, Rescue 1122, NADRA, and other agencies would perform their duties under a coordinated strategy, and foolproof security for the question papers and other examination materials would be ensured.
