BAHAWALPUR, Jun 08 (APP): Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Irfan Ali Kathia conducted a surprise inspection of the ongoing development work at the newly constructed DC Office Chowk to assess the pace and quality of the project.
During his visit, officials concerned briefed the Commissioner on the progress of construction activities and the current status of the development scheme.
Expressing satisfaction with the progress made so far, Commissioner Kathia directed the authorities concerned to expedite the remaining work and ensure the project was completed at the earliest possible date.
He emphasized that timely completion of the project was essential to reducing traffic congestion and minimizing inconvenience to commuters and the general public.
The Commissioner stressed that while accelerating the pace of work was important, there should be no compromise on construction quality. He instructed officials to ensure that all development activities were carried out in accordance with approved standards
and engineering specifications.
“Providing quality public infrastructure and civic facilities is one of the foremost responsibilities of the administration,” he said, adding that negligence or delays in the execution of public welfare projects would not be tolerated. Commissioner Kathia further directed the departments concerned to utilize all available resources to ensure the project’s timely completion and effective execution. He reiterated the administration’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure and enhancing public convenience through efficient and sustainable development initiatives.
The inspection concluded with instructions for continued monitoring of the project to ensure that both quality standards and completion timelines were strictly maintained, enabling citizens to benefit from improved traffic management and better urban facilities at the earliest opportunity.
