FAISALABAD, May 19 (APP):Divisional Commissioner(DC), Musarrat Jabeen on Tuesday carried out an early morning visit to various parts of the city to review sanitation arrangements and monitor cleanliness standards under the ongoing “Suthra Punjab” campaign.
During the visit,she inspected Eid Gah Road, Jail Road, Clock Tower Chowk, Samundri Road, Canal Road, Sargodha Road, Dijkot Road, Sheikhupura Road and Satiana Road along with several other localities.
The commissioner checked the attendance and performance of sanitation workers deployed in the field and directed officials to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness at all times.
She said sanitation operations should be completed before the start of daily routine activities so that citizens could enjoy a clean environment during morning hours.
Expressing displeasure over poor sanitation conditions around the Model Handcart Bazaar on Sheikhupura Road, Musarrat Jabeen ordered immediate improvement in cleanliness arrangements in the area.
She also directed the authorities concerned to further improve sanitation standards at Gattwala Chowk on Satiana Road and ensure regular monitoring of cleanliness operations.
The divisional commissioner instructed the Suthra Punjab Authority (SPA) to remain fully vigilant and actively monitor sanitation conditions across the city.
During the inspection, she also interacted with citizens and inquired about the effectiveness of the door-to-door waste collection system being implemented in different localities.
Managing Director SPA Abid Hussain Bhatti accompanied the divisional commissioner during the inspection tour.
